Xbox Arcace Machine., Controller problems Need Help! Options

i am currently installing a xbox into an old street fighter II cab. After having removed all the old arcade insides and putting in a TV its more or less finished. However my problem is as follows, i want to use mame-X and final burn alpha (and i am thinking of having soul caliber 2 and doa3 as well) but they use diffrent button combinations and i have no way (that i can think of) of connecting the analoge triggers to microswitch buttons. What i want to do is use the 2 triggers on the side of the cab with a roll switch (kind of like on sony phones or something like the pitch changer on a keyboard) so as to easily search through the game list. But this wouldn't work with mame-X. So if anybody knows how to reassign the buttons or has any othe clever ideas i would very much appreciate the help.
