Xbox-Scene is not responsible for any transactions, or any actions of it's members in this forum whatsoever!

Anyone choosing to conduct any sort of transaction with another member on XS does so at their own risk and expense.

As individuals, you need to take responsibility for your own actions, and you need to take responsibility for the fact you are dealing with strangers on the internet. Xbox-Scene is not a professional Sales service.. and is provided free and without any kind of warranty. We also will not ban people because you claim they ripped you off. Do NOT send the the "evidence" as we simply do not have the time, manpower, or will to follow through on your complaints. We have no intention of mediating any more disputes.

If you are ripped off, the only thing you are allowed to do on XS is to report it in the thread of the seller/buyer/trader ONCE. Alternatively you can make a note in your signature stating your grievance with the user. What you cannot do is spam other XS forums with your complaints. Do not make threads complaining about transaction that have gone bad. Do NOT contact staff complaining that a user has ripped you off. Do NOT make new threads in this or any other XS forum complaining about the "user" that ripped you off.

Xbox-Scene Does not recommend or endorse the use of the XS BST forums unless you are willing to take responsibility for your own actions, and you assume all risk. We do however recommend that people who wish to assume that risk should research the people they are dealing with, and alternatively search out and use professional Sales forums.(many of which offer the services and customer protection you keep asking us for here on XS but will NOT get here!)

People who continue to ignore the clearly posted rules and post complaints all over the place despite moderators and staff closing and moving them.. expect two things to happen.. the person complaining (and not necessarily the accused) will have their account closed, and that BST will get closed altogether. XS has already dedicated too much time and human resources to maintaining this area of the site. If it continues to be a problem we will close it.

Also.. do not ASK for any expansion of the BST type forums as we have no intention of adding forums to this area, or to expand the services provided.

Feel free to LIST your XBOX or XBOX item for Buy, Sell or Trade. others can feel free to offer any number of legal items (under the XS rules of course) or cash in trade. What people cannot do, is start new thread, and offer NON xbox items. Period. No new threads with people offering non-XBOX stuff.

UPDATE: Getestore and Similar “store” / commissioned pre-made store type concepts – No Commission Based Sales. Period. This is pretty much a BST and BST360 specific rule. Any products offered for sale should be in direct possession by the seller. From now on, and new post in any of the BST sales type forums on XS, must list the products and merchandise in their entirety in the post on XS, or don’t bother posting at all on our site. To be perfectly blunt, XS is not here for you to make money. XS sponsors are the only exception to this rule. The items listed in any sales thread or post on XS, must actually be in the possession of the person(s) listing it for sale or trade. Selling items for a 3rd party business via a commission based "Ready Made Internet Store" does not constitute owning the stock, and will result in a closure of the thread, and possibly the account. We want members to be directly accountable for any actions/tractions they conduct on our site.

UPDATE JAN 2007: Do not start threads asking "what can I get for 5$, 10$ etc" as staff will close them and make a ban req on your account. when making a new post, either Offer to sell a product, or trade a product. If you want to buy something.. go into an existing thread and make an offer on a product or service. DO NOT MAKE NEW THREADS ASKING WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR $5 bucks etc.

Do Not Ask, or Offer to buy, Sell or Trade GameFly Subscriptions. People wanting a subscription can get their own.
UPDATE: XS will not DELETE threads on demand. Even in light of the Raids on US shops. You can request it be removed/made invisible, however, we will keep it open for 30 days if you do so, allowing those you have serviced can comment, communicate, and / or complain or raise issues. We can make some requested edits though of info you posted, however, we will keep it on file. Note, deleting or removing your thread at this point is too little, too late. the authorities have that info already, and worse, every search engine and spider crawler on the net has it archived.

Will did a great job! Brought 2 Jtags back from the dead. Kept in constant contact, keeping me updated every step of the way. Went above and beyond and cleaned up a bunch of sloppiness from previous "fixes". Great guy and willing to work with you. I'd definitely go back if I need any more repairs. Just hope I don't need to. Just got my 360 back from wilgo.

Great guy to deal with. Keeps you updated during the repair with pictures and informs you of any problems he may see. The whole process took about a week and a half including shipping(3 days each way).

Will be sending another 360 for repair in the near future. Thanks!

This may be kind of long, so for those who want the short version - wilgo45 fixed my graphics glitches and did some preventive maintenance, I'm very happy with the results and glad I went with him for the repair.

Now the long version...

I bought a used Xbox on eBay to play games with my son over system link. From the description of the graphical glitches in the auction, I thought a standard "x clamp mod" would fix it, so I bid on it and won it. After I received the Xbox and did more research into potential fixes, it looked like it would need more than some bolts and washers.

I looked around locally and found a few people who advertised Xbox repair services. I wasn't able to locate any reviews of their service, though. One of the places had a lot of bad reviews on eBay for their sales, so I decided against them for sure. The thought of sending the Xbox away instead of staying local made me kind of nervous, but I found this thread here for wilgo45's service. Based on his honesty when things didn't go 100% as expected, and the reviews from people who used his service, I decided to go with him for the repair and began communicating with him through the forums' messaging. Additionally. from the reviews people left, it was obvious that he was used to working on Xboxes that had been worked on previously. Some repair places that I looked up online wouldn't even touch an Xbox that had been opened. Since I bought this one used, I wasn't sure what had been done to it already, but I knew it had been opened before I bought it, and I had opened it once or twice myself.

I sent the Xbox to him through Regional Rate Priority Mail, which I had never heard of until he suggested it. This actually saved me quite a bit on shipping, so bonus points to wilgo45 for that.

When he examined the Xbox, he found that the problem wasn't as bad as first thought, and he was able to get it running glitch free. Big bonus points for honesty here. I'm sure there are some people out there who would have told me that they had done a big fix involving hours of labor and charged me an arm and a leg, and seriously, I would never have known the difference. He also suggested some options for preventive maintenance and offered some additional services. We agreed on which options I wanted done, and he finished up and sent the Xbox back right away. Heck, this Xbox will probably last longer that the one I bought brand new. laugh.gif

I've had it back for a couple of days now and can't believe the difference. I've gone from not being able to play more than 5 minutes of Metro 2033 to being able to play for over an hour with zero issues. I took it apart to flash the drive back to stock, do a system update, then flashed it back (but to a newer FW this time). I took a look at some the work he did while I was in there, and everything is very sharp and professional looking.

If you're reading this thread and on the fence about contacting him for a fix, I'd recommend wilgo45 without hesitation. I know I'm not a common visitor to the forums, but if my review isn't enough, there are several pages before this one. He was quick, communicated regularly during the process, and was honest about the work that needed to be done. What more could you ask for?

Failed on a repair for NoMention

Sent me a Xenon with a 0110 error. I surmised dead edram in Gpu.

Replaced the Gpu .... RROD still persisted. Made other attempts. They did not clear the RROD.

Cpu chip probably needs reballed too. But end of the story is I failed this customer.

Repair job completed for ivxx420

Arrived to me with various problems

Reballed the Hana chip to restore video

Resoldered an LED on the ROL board

And reworked the jtag setup. Both hardware and Nand flash routine. And several Xbox Scene members contributed to ideas in repair.

... on a side note. Going back to NoMention's console. Trying to see if the repair can be achieved with more work

Repair job completed for robertbobcat

He had a Xenon jtag with no Audio or Video. But the console would boot up. No rrod

I replaced the Ana chip and 3 ceramic capacitors. Those caps roughly had the value of 11uf. This restored the AV.

Also updated the jtag Dash and the dvd drive firmware.
