Hi, this is definitely a newbie question... Have tried searching but the site keeps returning a forum error.

Anyway, my question is this: if I bought a pre-flashed 360 (ixtreme 1.41 iirc), will I be able to reflash with a newer version?

I have all the necessary hardware in terms of sata connection on my pc, etc.

But I think I read somewhere that you need the original f/w.

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Yes you can update. Just fallow the latest Jungle Flasher tutorial.

Your current firmware that is on the drive now will work as your original firmware to create an update LT firmware for your drive. this is all done through jungle Flasher.
