So I have an old X2 Pro, which is no longer functioning. I am purchasing an original old Cheapmod, which should work with my 1.0
AFAIK I can just slap the cheapmod on the old LPC Pins there, which are done already, and slide my d0 on a jump and away we go, the problem is my d0 and my ground are connected to the same jumper-like connection which may in fact be a jumper. It used to connect to the x2 board... How would I go about making the switchover... I have found many tutorials for the cheapmod but they don't even mention grounding, and the d0 is always all on it's lonesome stuck to the jumper and slide on the chip. what to do?

connect d0 straight to ground to permanently enable the chip. connect it to a flipswitch to allow it to be turned off.
