XLink Kai Engine Update Release
Posted by XanTium | December 5 17:22 EST | News Category: Xbox360

From teamfsd.com:
[QUOTE]
A nice surprise form Team Xlink, the makers of the Kai Engine, an updated Kai Engine (v 7.4.21).

This version is needed for the upcoming FSD 2.0 Release for it to work properly with the Kai implementation we have.

Yes it does

1. Go to xlink config and enable allow remote ui. Hit save and close config.

2. Close the xlink engine completely.

3. Start a game and go to system link. For example in black ops go to system link and then click find match and stay there.

4. Start the kai engine.

5. Quit the game and go back to fsd and login manually. It may freeze, if it does you can just restart your 360 but this time you can click the option about using credentials in engine.

6. You can click play online or arena mode and the navigate to the room you want.

7. If you are not in a private arena you won't get the join game option but you can just manually select your game from the games menu and it will still work.

8. If you close the kai engine you will have to do steps 2 thru 5 again.

Does anyone know people using the Xlink built into DD-WRT will have issues?
I was able to sign into Xlink from the new FSD but things were acting kind of weird and now I am wondering if I will need to use this new PC client until DD-WRT updates.
Anyone know how this works?

NVM.... FSD Team advised that they will only help if your running the latest version of Xlink.
I can confirm though that the version in DD-WRT does work OK from what I can tell.

Xbox Version: none
360 version: v1 (xenon)

been farting around with trying to get this installed on my Win7 32bit PC.
i've read their ccleaner fix and it dont work for spit, i run the apps as admin as described on their forums, and compatibility mode as win xp sp2 and every imaginable other OS and none of them work.

I still get that C++ runtime error in Win7 when running any of it.

has anyone else run into this? as i'd like to hear from someone who has gotten this error before and eventually corrected it somehow.

I got it to work after that error.... uninstalled it all and ran it from my router (DD-WRT). Seems to work fine now.
