ermmmm baiscly i accidently snagged a wire, tore of a trace and a resistor which decided to go live on the ground somwhere where i couldnt find him........best way and easiest to fix please? or any suggestions tongue.gif

I would say that the resistor will be the least of your worries. I would see if you can fix the trace or have it fixed. Once that is done then have someone with the mobo as you check and see what the value of the resistor is and then go online and order one. It is just an smd resistor. Likely a 1/8w or 1/16w smd resistor (maybe smaller). You need to find the resistance value of it though. Order a few extras since they are easy to lose and solder the resistor back on. It is definitely do able. You can use some 30 awg to repair the trace if you have a missing section. Otherwise try and lay it back down and bridge it back together with a little solder.
