well i tried the whole x-clamp removal. i used 4 washers in total and i did everything step by step. after i heated up the console for 15-20 mins i let it cool down and when i tried to power it back on the fans dont spin anymore and it still gives me the 3 red lights. any ideas?

the fan is plugged in. i still get 3 red lights but the fans just dont spin anymore. when i was heating it up the fans were on and spinning. i cooled it off and when i tried to turn it on again it turns on but the fans dont go on anymore.

I dont think he did that(would be quite stupid LOL), I guess he is talking about overheating it but since the fans were spinning this doesnt make much sense, hmmmm.
Anyway tell us your secondary error code, am assuming 0020 since the fans dont spin anymore.
Might be a cold solder joint of the cap that is responsible for the fan connector.

nah i didnt use a heat gun while the unit was powered on. i just left the system on while the unit was heating up so the soder points could reconnect. ill try to get the secondary code

Soder points? By that i guess you mean Solder points? Even so, with a x-clamp removal what was needed to be soldered? Unless i'm missing the point, all you do with a x-clamp mod is remove the 'x' clamp and replace with 3 washers - heat it up, then fully tighten once warmed. BTW, did you replace the thermal paste?
