So I just finished flashing XBR onto my 512mb nand jasper. It appears to work as my kernel is now 8955, I had 7363 prior to this. However, I have not gotten my CPU key yet, and I understand that in order to get into Xell which is preloaded on XBR you must put your xbox360 wired controller in back USB port and turn it on with guide button. I do this and it turns on but gives me video output. But, when I turn on the console like normal it boots to NXE with no problems. Any ideas? I'm not really sure what went wrong. uhh.gif

Nothing's wrong. Congratulations, you have succesfully flashed XBR onto your console. When you get the blue and white Xell screen, you can grab your CPU key from the efuse list (it scrolls up so be quick). XBReboot is simply a modified 8995 (NXE) dash. The main difference is that you can now load unsigned software. To test this, get XeXLoader, burn it to a disc and load it up in your 360. Press X to change to the DVD drive and copy the C0DE9999 folder to "HDD:/0000000000000000/" and restart your 360. You should now be able to run XeXLauncher from the hard drive as an arcade game. Note that if you share a hard drive between a console running XeXLoader and other homebrew apps, you probably should use a different profile at the very minimum. The safest bet is to restrict the use of your 'homebrew' hard drive to homebrew-enabled consoles.

The rest is up to you.

you should have the first 2mb from before you flashed xell, emulate the full dump and write the first 2mb.

nandpro fulldump.bin: -w2 partialdump.bin

Hey that actually worked when I used that code and the falcon XBR for my zephyr that is missing a dvd key or something. It boots XEX loader off the disc, but not games it says "play dvd" for them. Xell never gets to run linux it ends saying something abut try again and the mac address of the system. I'm not sure what to do now.

My second xbox, it's getting an e71 cos I flashed it with the image from the first one by accident I think, haha.

i'm having a problem. i already have a xenon running xbr_3 flawless so i've done this whole process. I'm working on a new one for a friend, i'm not sure what revision it is but it seems all the points are the same (other than xenon). I got all the correct diodes and resistors but when i plug the power into the board the power supply goes red. I have to unplug the brick to get it back to green. did i short something? i've successfully done this before, never had this problem. i didnt use diodes on my xenon only resistors and it was TOO perfect, do i need to use these diodes? ive checked over and over all the points with a magnifying glass and a BRIGHT florescent light.

also, regarding the ground points... i'm understanding it as I have to connect the ground pin on my cable to either point on the motherboard?

thanks for the tutorial Grim pop.gif

that's pretty rare, i don't know the real answer to that but from what i read and how i understand it thats all you need to do this hack. if you have the latest dash theres currently no method of retrieving it, but if you have it already you should be able to decrypt your keyvault, not sure if you can still exploit it though? uhh.gif

I'm sure the right person will tell you... Good luck.

You need jtag to boot XBR, that means even if you have the cpu key, you won't be able to boot XBR.
Your efuses are blown, and there's no way to go back, except to swap your cpu with another one.

Ok... hmm well just to make sure I told you everything I don't think it has XBR on it (not sure how to check) but I do have a valid nand dump, cpu key, and I guess the KV... the file says XboxBackup.bin obviously I bought this 360 so any help would be awesome.

EDIT: Ok so I just found out that XeX loaded up so I guess it is good to go. Thanks for your help and thank you for an above post that I read heh sorry for asking a question that was kinda answered above.

Had a weird problem that I just want to put down here to help anyone else that may run into it.

I am using an XP laptop and flashing vi USB SPI, so I need to use nandpro2a and replace everywhere there is lpt with usb. That was obvious to me, but I didn't know what was going on with this. When I tried to read kv using

nandpro 1.bin: -r16 kv.bin 1 1

nandpro freaked out about having no LPT. Solution is to use nandpro20b for these steps

shouldn't this command just read from the 1.bin file? I don't have an lpt port. Going to try nandpro2b for this operation

How are you supposed to use nandcompare 1.3 with a jasper nand.

Followed tutorial to the letter but nandcompare won't read the nand dumps.

When I checked my CB in a hex editor using the address area in the tut I was getting some crazy value (FA7F = 64127) so I wasn't sure what the hell was going on but I saw somewhere else to check around 8400 instead and then I found 1A43 which is 6723. I have a Jasper 512. Is it possible that address around 4800 is wrong or can it be in either location?

I couldn't see how to edit my post above but I wanted to add something. Again I have a jasper 512 and with the jtag connections soldered in I was able to boot into the regular dash no error codes or RROD so that initially led me to believe my wiring/soldering must be bad but I couldn't believe it so I flashed xell anyways to try it and xell booted up, reflashed my 3mb image and regular dash was good to boot. So maybe with jaspers they will boot normal with jtag in? if anyones curious the manufactured date is April 29 2009

I'm just sharing my experiences with the process and using Grim's info as well as info from other sources. I mean no disrespect

I moved a arcade game to the onboard 256mb memory, using the new Xexmenu. The arcade game was 190MB.

Noticed the game didn't show up so I rebooted to see why and now I'm getting just the middle green light and the system won't boot. Xell won't load either.

Did it overwrite my XBR?

Should I "nandpro lpt: -e256" and reflash xbr?
