Thats why the M3 Simply looks so tempting.

Thanks 1337 pig. I think this is what I am going to go for as its the best way to run DS games as throwingks said. So yeh I will put my order down when I find somewhere with them in stock and order a 1GB San Disk Mini SD... oh crap and a card reader. tongue.gif

No, no. The DS-X is best for running games and homebrew. The Sandisk from Japan is the best memory to buy for the M3.

You can't go wrong with either M3, R4 (essentially the same thing) or the DS-X. The DS-X is a bit better though, just limited memory. So if 512MB isnt enough (about 12 games) go with the M3/R4 and SD from Japan.

Yeh I think I read that the DS-X is slighty faster but I'm on about Slot 1 is faster than slot 2 for running DS games... right?

I got a DS-Xtreme for my 7 year old nephew's DS-Lite. He love's it, nice and easy for him to use.

Thanks for the heads up about the DS-X Manager, I'll give it a try. Sounds awesome.

Slot 2 transfers data faster, and can play GBA games.

Most Slot 1 carts have better NDS compatibility and no need to flash your DS. I have never experienced slowdowns with my DS-X. I have read that the only slowdows from M3/R4 is when matched with below average SD cards.

GBA games need the faster data tranfer rate so if you want to have GBA games you need a slot 2. Otherwise Slot 1 is the way to go. The big Slot 1 carts have a passthru feature where if you want to run a slot 2 cart you can without flashing your DS.

On a sidenote. If you want to play wifi system link, DS-X is the best for that. It can link to a flashed or unflashed NDS.

Thanks, for link.

What slot 2 card would you recommend with the DS-Xtreme?

Thanks for the help.

I have never tried it, but I was looking into the supercard lite for myself. I have heard the EZ-Flash IV works, as well as a few others.

You just have to hold 'select' when turning on your NDS with both devices in.

The m3/g6 can be accessed using a program called lovelite. I have never really heard too much about that though.

Ahhh all confused.

So slot 2 is faster than slot 1. Slot 1 is better for DS compatibility. I would need a slot 2 device to play GBA games though. So if I buy a M3 Simply and then later decide "hey I want to play Super Pokemon Bowling Pinball Extreme GBA" I will need to buy a slot 2 device. These are basically the same as the slot 1 devices? You can have onboard flash or mini sd.

Flashing your DS. I guess this would be like soft modding your Xbox? I watched a video on you tube and the guy used some sort of DS card Passme or Passkey... I forget and he had to use a small metal contact to short out a jumper. What benefit does flashing allow? Or would the M3 Simply do the job fine?

Also can I play my backup roms online?

Oh and last question. Is there anyway to get rid of the safety screen on boot? lol
