hi all... my old (500gb) was getting full, so i decided to upgrade it to a 1TB i had laying around.. i researched around, and found a SATA/IDE adapter for it. after much frustration, i discovered my problem... when the hard drive is connected normally (XBOX / DVD / HD) it'll give me an error 13. but when i connect it XBOX / HD / DVD, it works fine... my problem now is that the IDE cable length is too short.. i even flipped the cable around, but still, just BARELY too short...

- using x2.3b pro with x2 5035 v16plus
-the adapter (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812240012) is set to CS

any suggestions (other than getting a longer cable hopefully)?

thanks,
-m

Try it again with the jumper set to master.

thank you, but it's still a no-go. i've tried master, slave, cs, and no jumper... for some reason, it only likes to work when it's plugged in before the dvd.. uhh.gif

i've also tried a different ribbon cable, and another (modded) xbox. all give same results.
