Didn't Sony say the PS3 will have a lifespan of 10 years? If that is the case, why would they release the PS4 in just 4. Makes no sense.

So much for having a long-living console...If console lifespans keep shortening like this I'm going to stop buying them, and just play PC games.

But then again, when has Sony ever been right about release dates? You can probably add about 2 years to that date to get what the actual release date will be.

if the ps4 is released anywhere near 2010 the ps3 will barely have dropped below £200 ($400) in the Uk, given that most consoles drop under £100 per year over here. wonder how much the new console will cost?? (oh sh!t, i forgot - US 2010, EU 2020.............)

Sony doesnt just live off Consoles, obviously they are making money off of other things, and so far, they dont seem to be failing at all, their system actually seems to be the one that everyone wants but cant get it because of its availability, just because people on these forums say they dont want it, doesnt mean that the rest of the world doesn't. The PS3 isn't a big enough part of sony to completely bankrupt a company of that size, and lets just say the PS3 did fail which it clearly wont, they would STILL make a PS4 because they will always want to be in on competition, Japan alone would be enough for them to make a PS4 they have to give them what they want because clearly they don't want a Xbox.

I think somone recently pointed out 80% of Sony's profit comes from its finance division-
They're losing money basically everywhere else.

If Games was all they had, they'd have been bankrupt a long time ago.
