First, thanks for the quick replies guys. Does anyone know where I can get "plastic foil"?

Sometimes the xclamp replacement is not enough to fix it and the solder balls really need to be reflowed. Either have someone else do it or go get a heatgun and do it yourself, following the tutorial below. If you are scared of burning something, then u can also buy a laser guided temp gun and watch the temp of the board as you heat. Lead-free solder melts at about 217 degrees celcius and you need to get the solder joints just a little bit hotter than that to ensure a good reflow. It is best to do the bottom first, let it cool and then do the top side. Heatgunning without damaging anything
Thanks for giving me the temperature.. While the guides are good the two things they don't explain much are time, temp, and target areas.. They all seem very generalized and don't waste much time on the details. I mean maybe it's easier then I think but the risk is to high to have any questions going in IMO. I'll be attempting it myself as Harbor Freight has a $10 heat gun for the holidays. One question, where can I get that "plastic foil"?

Try my X-Clamp replacement.
If this does not work heatgun it as humboldt suggested
Thanks Wilhelm, I posted in this subforum because I saw you took the time to offer members help. I followed your X-Clamp replacement already (details in my 2nd paragraph). Now I'm going to attempt using a heat gun, I'll update you guys later today.
