Hi everyone,

I flash my LiteOn all the time with no troubles but I've got this old BenQ drive that I just can't seem to get to work. It's an old BenQ VAD6038-64930C from 2008 and it has never been on the Internet and never been flashed.

I loaded JungleFlasher and read the original firmware (saving it to disk along with the key.bin). JF asked to autoload LTPlus 1.1 and I agreed. I wrote the firmware and sent the outro. From that point forward it lights up like a Christmas tree with 3 red rings.

I've tried restoring the original firmware from the OFW bin JF created but no luck. I tried to flash back to stock (though I'm not 100% sure which stock firmware to use; I tried all 4 that matched my model information).

At this point not sure what to do. Red ring no matter what I flash onto the drive....

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I did the RRoD diagnostic test and the error code is 0110, Memory Fault / Memory Overheat Fault. So this doesn't seem to be related to the act of flashing the drive, it must be a coincidence.

Sounds like an unfortunate coincidence...
