I'm looking for a new HDD but have no idea what to look for...

Is a maxter or whatever the best to go for?

What about something like this http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw...ed&tm=undefined

that one is ide because if you scroll down it says it has a 40 pin connector and has ata 133 interface, ata is ide, most people dont like maxtor and i am one of them i have one and its very noisy i can hear it through my case, and they do have a tendency to fail after one year just as your warrenty ends, i do not know if thats cheap or not as i dont not live in england.
