My xbox just stopped working. I was in the middle of a mp3 song in xbmc, when the xbox just died.
When I reboot I don't get any error screens nor the xbox logo. The harddrive and DVD-Rom spins up but nothing else.

Is my xbox 1.0 dead or what? if not what may be wrong with it?

The light is green and remains green, I have xbmc set to change it to orange when it is running but since there is no boot screen it can't load xbmc.

I have tried to disable my modchip just to get some reaction from the xbox but all have the same result... green light on the xbox and a no signal on the tv.

My modchip is an xecuter 1 if it makes any difference smile.gif

Have you checked the vid cable? I haven't tried to start up unplugged, but I know even modded it coming loose will make it restart (or at least it will on mine - softmod). Woo hoo, 100th post!
