Hai guys

I'd like some constructive info on this. My Xbox 360 Elite is bought in Spain last September. Moved to here in Iceland where its now broken. RROD'd.

I have been bounced back and forth from the UK to Spain and back again. Since my Xbox is bought in Spain, Uk tells me to talk to them, but Spain says that since my Live account is situated in the UK they should finish this.

Email support has not been helpful. The emails I get contain only the same info, to call Xbox Customer Support blah blah blah... Machine type replies too.

If I have already given them my account info online and registered my console there, why do I need to call them and give it out again?

It should not matter where it is bought, since my country and Spain are both part of the European Economic Area?

Do you know of any 'higher-up' email addresses I could contact to expedite this case?

Or am I screwed? Since my Live account is in a country I am not a resident of (the reason for that is officially, Iceland is not an available region for Xbox Live, so I must cheat a little).

Microsoft shouldn't mind - since I give them money in the form of spent gamerpoints on Live.

Any thoughts on this?

(I decided against cross-posting this here and in Xbox 360 Hardware - deciding that I could have better replies here anyway smile.gif My first post on xb-scene in over 2 years! Yay!)

good choice in not cross-posting as one or both threads would just be closed anyway.

be careful with having a live account set for a region you are not currently living in. quite a few people have been banned for that.

you should be sending it to the repair centre in Spain as that is where you brought the console. just go onto xbox.com, register the console there and request a repair on it. they will send you the details by email.
