I dont consider that wasting space. C64 is an important emu to me.
Why should that emu be any different than Nes or CoinOps. Because it has more games?
Anyway if it can be done, why not?

Maybe you're right. Maybe this is too tough of a project.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this
Thanks

If 1 video is around 5MB, 15000 vids would be 75Gb..

Yes it sounds a bit waste, but if you have one Xbox dedicated only for commodore then why not smile.gif

EDIT: typo

I'm not really worried about storage myself. I have a 2tb Hd but it could only be done if many others were on board. Like I said it is worth it to me but it would have to be worth it to atleast 26 other dedicated C64 fans. Its a bit of work.

Just have to wait and see the feedback or consensus on this thread.

Erm..15,000 vids? , well that`ll be nice one man project tongue.gif

But, if vids are going to be made, I think that targeting the Gamebase collection isn`t really a good idea. Of course in the first place because , well that's a lot of videos, and would take quite a long time to do.
But also, one of the reasons i`m making 'my' Xtras pack so big (4000+ games) is that the gamebase collection is a bit ' over complete' . Every single crappy non commercial and basic-language game is there. I don`t think that a lot of people want to waste the space on vids for the thousands of these crappy programs.

So it would be more logical to make a complete vid pack for the 4000 xtras games. At the moment I`m looking at the longplays to see if they can be used. However a complete vid pack will be something for the future. As that's something I can't really do on my own wink.gif. 4000 games is a lot. let alone 15000. tongue.gif

Thats an Idea, how far along are you with the vids for the 4000 Games or have you not done any vids yet?
Also, do you happen to have a list of the games in this 4000 game pack?

As making the collection complete (collecting, renaming) with screenshots, boxart etc has priority at the moment, vids are secondary. i did already made some Xmvs from the first 2 minutes of C64 longplay videos to test. But i want the Xtras collection to be complete a soon as possible first. Then later on I can look more at the video stuff for it. But Videos will be made of course at one point, by me or someone else. wink.gif

And a list of the games will be available very soon.

I guess the best idea would be to re-address this after a pack is released or a partial collection is complete and released

Actually v07 has 21000 entries and the upcoming v08 has 22400.
Good luck on that one. laugh.gif

Asphodel, How's it coming along? How far along are you with your 4000 game compilation? Anything I can do to help?
