I'm new here but fairly techie

Got xbox crystal with xectutor3 installed worked fine for last 2 years no probs

suddenly now boots to x3 config live men, cannot get it to boot to installed dash which I think was unleashx.

I've tried setting "Autostart x3 config live" to disabled but that dont make any difference

Kids may have messed with dip switches on front but dont think so...

also if try booting to non-chip mode (hold down on button) I now get green microsoft "service" screen

Any help - this is driving me nuts and I've looked at all sorts of forums for the answer..

do you get a error 21 if so reinstall MS dash as well as home brew dash like XBMC

ok I have an error code I think
Its a white number on its own in the top right
hand side of the screen.

Its either 13 or I3....
I also get flashing red/green led's too..

Is that good or bad?

AS said will boot straight to x3 config, and cannot get it
to load dash. already tried what was suggested to
other person with same problem...no good.

Maybe a broken controller that continues pressing the white button? When u hold the white button while booting, the X3 config live starts. This can also match the fact that another box has the same problem. If you attach the same broken controller to it....

Try another one and detach the others.
I have had a defective controller too. It continued pressing the down arrow so I discovered it easy. But this can be a hard one to discover.

Once I have them how do I install/repair the
situaiton

These are autoinstallers. What you need to get slayers is on Xbins.

but I went to xbins and got completely lost

haven't got a clue what I'm looking for and even then whatto do with it.

you say slayers which i assume is some dashboard I need to download and
then upload to the xbox via ftp.

but, do I need a new dashboard the chipped side the
dash I seem to have problems with is the standard one - or does this do that too?

Also wanted to keep my existing chipped dash as the kids are used to that one...

I think I have unleashx or somethign like that!

Can anyone help- I'm sure this is simple fix, but as a newbie
I'm probably going to need it spelled out with a complete instruciton
manal rolleyes.gif

and no - white button idea didn;t work either - but thanks for the sugggestion - sounded good solution to my problem but no joy - even without a controller plugged in the system still boots to live config.

Auto installer deluxe 4.11 and slayer are auto installer you use them to install dash app and emu to you xbox just by using the dvd drive
