As individuals, you need to take responsibility for your own actions, and you need to take responsibility for the fact you are dealing with strangers on the internet. Xbox-Scene is not a professional Sales service.. and is provided free and without any kind of warranty. We also will not ban people because you claim they ripped you off. Do NOT send the the "evidence" as we simply do not have the time, manpower, or will to follow through on your complaints. We have no intention of mediating any more disputes.

If you are ripped off, the only thing you are allowed to do on XS is to report it in the thread of the seller/buyer/trader ONCE. Alternatively you can make a note in your signature stating your grievance with the user. What you cannot do is spam other XS forums with your complaints. Do not make threads complaining about transaction that have gone bad. Do NOT contact staff complaining that a user has ripped you off. Do NOT make new threads in this or any other XS forum complaining about the "user" that ripped you off.

Xbox-Scene Does not recommend or endorse the use of the XS BST forums unless you are willing to take responsibility for your own actions, and you assume all risk. We do however recommend that people who wish to assume that risk should research the people they are dealing with, and alternatively search out and use professional Sales forums.(many of which offer the services and customer protection you keep asking us for here on XS but will NOT get here!)

People who continue to ignore the clearly posted rules and post complaints all over the place despite moderators and staff closing and moving them.. expect two things to happen.. the person complaining (and not necessarily the accused) will have their account closed, and that BST will get closed altogether. XS has already dedicated too much time and human resources to maintaining this area of the site. If it continues to be a problem we will close it.

Also.. do not ASK for any expansion of the BST type forums as we have no intention of adding forums to this area, or to expand the services provided.

Feel free to LIST your XBOX or XBOX item for Buy, Sell or Trade. others can feel free to offer any number of legal items (under the XS rules of course) or cash in trade. What people cannot do, is start new thread, and offer NON xbox items. Period. No new threads with people offering non-XBOX stuff.

UPDATE:Getestore and Similar “store” / commissioned pre-made store type concepts – No Commission Based Sales. Period. This is pretty much a BST and BST360 specific rule. Any products offered for sale should be in direct possession by the seller. From now on, and new post in any of the BST sales type forums on XS, must list the products and merchandise in their entirety in the post on XS, or don’t bother posting at all on our site. To be perfectly blunt, XS is not here for you to make money. XS sponsors are the only exception to this rule. The items listed in any sales thread or post on XS, must actually be in the possession of the person(s) listing it for sale or trade. Selling items for a 3rd party business via a commission based "Ready Made Internet Store" does not constitute owning the stock, and will result in a closure of the thread, and possibly the account. We want members to be directly accountable for any actions/tractions they conduct on our site.

UPDATE JAN 2007: Do not start threads asking "what can I get for 5$, 10$ etc" as staff will close them and make a ban req on your account. when making a new post, either Offer to sell a product, or trade a product. If you want to buy something.. go into an existing thread and make an offer on a product or service. DO NOT MAKE NEW THREADS ASKING WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR $5 bucks etc.

Do Not Offer to Buy, Sell, or Trade GameFly Subscriptions. Members can get their own subscriptions.

UPDATE: XS will not DELETE threads on demand. Even in light of the Raids on US shops. You can request it be removed/made invisible, however, we will keep it open for 30 days if you do so, allowing those you have serviced can comment, communicate, and / or complain or raise issues. We can make some requested edits though of info you posted, however, we will keep it on file. Note, deleting or removing your thread at this point is too little, too late. the authorities have that info already, and worse, every search engine and spider crawler on the net has it archived.

I honestly have no idea what this stuff is worth, if there is more value in just pulling the hard drives I have in them and selling them I will just do that. I am located in Illinois for an idea on shipping. If you are interested in anything make me an offer. Parts: 1 - Thomson TGM600 bare drive (no xbox logo plate) 1 - Philips VAD6035/21 bare drive (includes xbox logo plate on front of drive) 1 - Microsoft branded DVD remote and sensor open and used 2 - Microsoft branded still sealed DVD remote and sensors in blister packs 1 - Working xbox V1.0 motherboard flashed TSOP, not sure what bios it is running, has different fan added to the GPU, not pretty (electrical tape to splice the new fan into old fan cable) 1 - 100 gig WD PATA drive, sounds terrible (jet like noise while it is spinning (how old drives can sound) but still works without issue - will include it with any system (all drives in the systems below sound fine and work great) Systems: 1 - v1.6 Xbox console with Samsung SDG-605 DVD drive - Boots to XBMC 1TB Sata drive - WD green 5400 RPM with SATA to PATA adapter installed. 950 gigs on drive F Installed DuoX 2 GS chip, not sure what bios it is running at the moment. I believe m8 plus bios 1 - v1.6 xbox console with Philips VAD6035 DVD drive - Boots to XBMC 500GB 7200 RPM Hitachi PATA drive installed majority of space on drive F Installed Duox 2 GS chip, running X2 5035 bios 1 - v1.0 xbox console with Samsung SDG-605 DVD drive - Boots to XBMC 120 GB WD PATA drive - 105 Gigs on drive F TSOP is flashed, not sure what bios it is running at the moment.

A couple questions, what kind of condition is it in and would you be willing to post a picture or two? You seem reputable so I'm not too worried on that front, but proof is always good and I would like to see the condition of the box. Also would you go for 100.00 shipped? Last but not least, and perhaps unfair to you... to be completely honest with you I'm not sure I actually NEED this, I certainly shouldn't spend the money and I do have a working xbox already... but once upon a time I had a 1.6box running the X2 bios and it worked great. I kinda want that again. LOL preferably w/ the Xecuter 2.6 chip w/ that front switch panel mounted beneath the power button... but guess I'm just feeling nostalgic... haha perhaps I should just add a WTB ad for that exact system... oh well... Guess what I'm saying is that I'm still on the fence, so if you have another serious buyer lined up, I wouldn't want my indecisiveness to prevent you from making a sale. Just let me know. Yes I can post pictures, just give me a couple days. Anyone else interested would probably want to see pictures too, so no big deal. I just figured you seen 1 xbox you seen them all.. And I have been on here since 2002, so it's not likely I am scamming people. Not exactly the most profitable way to do it anyhow.. I would say all are in excellent operating condition. The cases have some small scuffs like any xbox does, but they are not layered with unidentified gunk or with food or anything. Any unit I ship will be free of dust inside the unit also.. Non smoking house, only one of these units saw daily use, and would regularly clean it out with air. As far as price goes I don't think I will sell the 500 gig for 100 shipped, at least not yet If you PM me your zipcode I can get an idea of what shipping would be.
