Hey So I'm new to the 360 modding scene.. i was all about the original xbox.

So I bought a Trinity, a Demon, Coolrunner and Nand-X.

I installed my coolrunner and I had it booting Xell.

I backed up my CPU key and Original NAND... Now i tried to update my dashboard.. the system froze and now it wont boot up.. I get a red light on the front of the system.

I tried to re-write the original NAND i backed up.. no good.. but, if i write the ECC I can boot Xell...

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Edit- the Demon is not yet installed

Did you try to update while XeLL was still on the NAND?

Honestly I'm like 95% sure I rewrote the stock NAND before trying to update.. if that was the case and Xell was still on there.. is this system toast?

I don't think it's toast. It's still booting, obviously. I'm guessing that it blew some fuses and then stalled, causing the old dash to not boot up. What could you try doing is making stock dashboard images from your original image and flashing those to see which one boots up. That way you know specifically what fuses have been blown.

Little bit confused.. I've been trying to write my original NAND dump to the system and nothings booting... again, quite noob to the 360 haha, I'm more use to the simple Original Xbox ways.

You said XeLL still boots. Is that correct?

It boots if I write the ECC again.

That means your console is not dead. It's still booting, so there's an issue with the image on the NAND you're trying to use.

Use a program that allows such things. I can't remember names atm. Check the front page. Several NAND image builders provide the option.

Happy to help. Just don't update your dash if you want to RGH. It won't help you.

I suggest it be as low as possible due to better glitching. Since you've already updated, it really doesn't matter as downgrading isn't possible anymore.
