i tried to upgrade to xbox media center, (which is in C/default.xbe), where the evox was also (C/evoxdash.xbe) after i flashed fxp the xbmc files to C and rebooted, a black screen with green font saying there is a problem, assistance call blah blah in many different languages with a number 13 in the top left corner. now i can't get back to the menu where flash fxp connects to restore it, please help.

if there is any way you can regain ftp access, you could fix this, correct me if im wrong but the xbox boots from evoxdash.xbe, not default.xbe. I think all you have to do is rename.

yes you're right, but i can't get into the ftp to rename it. the black screen comes on right after the xbox logo. i tried connecting to the previous ip but no luck.

Use a boot disc (eg Slayer 2.7) to gain FTP access and fix your problem.

I am having a similar problem (renamed the xbe correctly, but messed up the .cfg file with the path to the XBMC xbe). However, I cannot get the boot disc (slayer-x) to come up correctly! It just sits at the loading screen.
I think what's happening is it's finding the evoxdash.xbe and trying to boot to that unsuccessfully... so it's never trying to boot to the dvd. Any suggestions? |

Load the game used to run the exploit. Gain FTP access that way. Chipped? Try different media, CD-RW is best to try. |

i'm actually experiencing this exact same problem.
i downloaded auto installer deluxe v 3.10, made the boot disk but the xbox still doesn't read it. it just sits there at the main logo screen with executor 2 underneath it. and you can here the xbox trying to load off the HDD. so i'm after any advice as well. |
