how do i edit xtv so when i click tv shows it starts the tv links script.

You need to look for this in the home.xml file <onclick>ActivateWindow(MyVideoLibrary,tvshowtitles)</onclick> and change it to somthing like this <onclick>XBMC.RunScript(PATH TO YOUR SCRIPT)</onclick>
