I removed the aerogel cap that leaks and installed ndure softmod. it worked fine for a week or so but now there is error 16. assuming all my dash files are ok does this error occur when there is no clock cap? any way to prevent it? thanks for halp plz

an up to date softmod should not error 16
error 16 is cnlock time not set cant boot ms dash to set clock..

so for it to work for a week then error 16 i can only assume that the softmod was over written by a game update due to no shaddow C.

He said he used ndure, so that should have both taken care of error 16 and enabled shadow C, but I suppose something could have gone wrong or been skipped during installation and maybe shadow C was never enabled. The only options now to fix your softmod are:

1. Use your EEPROM backup to unlock the hard drive (you did back up your EEPROM, didn't you?)
2. Use an EEPROM reader if you didn't back up your EEPROM
3. Hotswap if you didn't back up your EEPROM
4. Install a modchip (at least temporarily to fix your softmod)
