I just got my PS3 today. I have a hacked 360 but I'm new to the PS3 scene.

I just wanted to know if I'm safe with v1.31.
Or do I need an early version to do the fun stuff with?

If v1.31 is no good then I'll be force to update to 1.6 to play online.

So far there is no fun stuff, so it prolly doesn't matter version you have. Moot point anyway 'cuz you can't downgrade (yet). I'd be willing to bet when the console is hacked (if it isn't already), that if earlier versions are required, someone (most likley in need of a life) will come up with a way to undo the updates. I say update and enjoy the thing online in the meantime, 'cuz 40 player deathmatches in RFOM are a blast!

I'm keeping my PS3 at 1.32 until atleast the end of March to see if the Paradox Loader is real or not. If it is real there is no way I'm going to miss all the goods of homebrew just because I wanted to play online!

By fun stuff I meant saving BlueRays on the HD and game iso's.

But I see just need linux for backing up BlueRays.

And that game iso extration doesn't exist yet.
