I decided that, as per the Modchip comparison chart at xbox-scene.com, these two chips are the best - the chart shows they are identical.

So I looked around the Net for cheapest retailer selling pre-modded units and found Genomods.com

However, a premodded xbox with x-ecuter is $299 whereas a premodded xbox with a evo-x2.3 is $269. why the price difference if they are indentical? can i get some advice on which to get?

and if anyone knows a cheaper place, hook me up! and while im on it, cheapest premodded messiah ps2 i found was lik-sang for $359 so if soeone knows cheaper hook me up too

You are confused as the X-ecutor is a mod chip and evox2.3 is a bios that can be flashed onto a modchip which to me means that because the x-ecutor can not be flashed that the evox2.3 must be a homebrew chip that they install and if so go the the mod chip that can be flashed so buy the pc bioxx as you can easily flashit
