Hi,
I'm probably planning on paying a store to flash my 360, since i'm to scared of trying in myself beacuse getting my 360 to the god forsaken place i live in was too much trouble and i can't risk bricking it.
So i probably want to flash my hitachi, but i want to do it just once and probably the next time i'll open the case would be for a good and tested mod chip.

So should i wait more for a better version or is the 2.2 stable and good?
Also supposing i'm not stuck with a 0078.... the 360 was made on 28/06/06, premium bought in the UK.

Any help is appreciated.

You could make a start by comparing your DVD tray to the pictures >>>HERE<<<

At least you will know if its Hitachi or Samsung

Whoops, my mistake i completely missed that ohmy.gif Sorry.

Your only way to find out if the drive is a 0078 is to open the 360 up.

Wait ...

If you had read, v2.2 had some problem with new EA games like TW07 where the original disc will not play whereas backup is okay. I believe the next update will fix this issue and thus might as well wait for it since u will have to flash again when it comes out ...

dude your english is too good for you to not try this on your own. you seem to have a reasonable familiarity with this stuff and i think u just need a good tutorial to help you along. go with textbook/geebee's tut. also your model should be ok and not have a v78. i think those are just more commin in july/august and later

I agree, unlike most of the people on here, you seem to be of a decent level of intelligence and have a clue about the risks involved.

Just follow one of the guides and you'll be fine.

Here's Textbook's video tutorial Here

Its at the top of the update homepage. I have a Hitachi as well, tutorials don't get easier than this. Good luck.
