Has anyone gotten a broken 360, then bought a new one at the store, then just returned it with the broken xbox?

I meant like returning it the same day saying it was broken. They wont resell it, itl go back to MS..

One of my friends 360 went bust that he got for xmas and we were thinking of doing this. just swap the console itself, but keep the same HD

well I think its the most we can do besides shelling another 400 out for M$ for another console that could break again. what the hell is with warranties now adays? 90 days, jesus. I rememer when standard was 1 year

Not a good Idea M$ used a unique traceable polymer in each 360 case just for that reason! you take back your box and say it is broken, they trace it, get the original purchase date, and then they track you down and collect your 360 that is working along with your girlfriend and your dog and leave you alone and very very bored. Then the next day they ban you from live. imho not worth the risk! tongue.gif
