Unfortunately that is the way sore losers try to justify the way their teams just got bitch slapped.
Every sport is decided by close calls. If Clark's Double in the ALCS had not bounced over the wall it would have been another Yankees run and they'd have went to the series. Suck it up and deal with the fact that a few close plays help aid you in victory.

The Super Bowl isn't everything. A few mediocre teams won Super Bowls. Trent Dilfer went from never losing as the Raven's starter and a Super Bowl trophy, to not being able to even get a backup job anywhere in the league the following year.
Anyone remember a few years back when the Dirty Birds made it to the Super Bowl, beating out the greatest offense in NFL history in the NFC Championship game? And then Atlanta stunk it up in the Super Bowl. Not only did Minnesota have a better season, but I would bet money that Minnesota would have put up a much better fight in the big game.
There have been some great seasons that didn't end in championships, both in team seasons and individual seasons. Who is more of a dynasty, a team that wins 2 out of 3 championships, or someone who makes 4 Super Bowls in a row, but never wins one?
