Does the ps3 slim have otherOS support (if the firmware is pre 3.2?)

The PS3 Slim never had "Other OS" support, it was shipped in Sept. 2009 without "Other OS".

Geohot has made a custom firmware (no ETA on release) and says he might be able to get it working on a slim. Is waiting on an infectious.

but i dont understand, if the whole hack to update to custom firmware requires OtherOS, how does he intend to upgrade the slims firmware with a custom otheros enabled firmware?

He would use the infectus to write the hacked firmware to the slim I guess.

with the latest updates one that was a week ago and one 2 days ago the other os option is being taken off if you want to continue using playstation network services e.g. online play , ps home , so on all the phat models i dont even know what the 3.30 update was for but it seems like to me that sony has insiders out the ass in the scene and a bunch of sell out bitches you guys should of seen the march 31 crash ever since then one of my 40 gig cechgo1 model turns on by it self and the ho1 does too every so often and i dont even have controllers synced to them it kinda pisses me off because they are running hot when i wake up or come back from work in my hot ass apartment

ONLINE ONLINE, i never go to live with 360 or ps3. Because i dont have the time, i dont want big companies to control my life or consoles, minigames and other s...t are for making lots of money for them. Think about trophyes ARE FOR ??? Go to live with them not ? Of course if you have 20 age and dream to became Godfather go ahead and shoot until you sleep with your friends, but im past those years. For me it was better without the internet. And updates i make them offline from games or usb storage, i dont have time with pc to do what i want on internet, so my ps3 phat stay put NO PSN no sony to take me down.

Geohot is just another hacker with only a few accomplishments and is trying to give false hope to a scene that doesn't need it. With the Sony is like a bitchy girlfriend, they will only put up with so much. It ran linux out of the box that should have been enough for people, but thanks to people like Geohot tweeting shit about ps3 hyper visors sony said f it and cut us off completely.

just my 2 cents
