I have a four day (maybe five) day weekend coming up and I thought I would build a plexi case. I was just wondering, wether plexi drill bits are really necessary and just any tips you guys have,

I've only ever used standard wood/steel bits and as long as you take it slow you shouldn't have any problems with cracking.
If you want to be safe, you could put a piece of scrap plexi behind the piece you're drilling so the bit doesn't unexpectedly catch and wreck your work.

cheers for the advice just one more question around how thick do i want it? thick enough so i doesn't break easily but not so thick i can't cut it properly without using my dremel (it's motor has burnt out so if i use it for more than 5mins it starts burning your fingers @_@) im guessing 1-1.5cm thick?
