I have an x-chip with a solderless adapter, but no pinheader or rivets, I want to install in a 1.4/1.5 mb.

Is it possible to fill the LPC holes and then use the solderless adapter?
Should I only fill the holes that need the rivets or fill all of them?

I also do not have the screw that came with the solderless adapter. I purchased about 20 of them and finally found one that was the right size for a previous install, but I don't remember what the size was. Does anyone know the screw size?

Thanks in advance.

YOu can fill holes but would suggest soldering in the pin header as more secure method of connecting the modchip.

ANy old screw will work as long as secures it and is snug.

I filled the holes and found a screw lying around that worked. Then I screwed in the solderless adapter and the x-chip works like a charm. I would have used the pin header but it is almost impossible to find one around here. Easybuy has some good customer service and could send me replacement parts but I needed to finish this xbox asap.
Thanks for the reply.
