I've locked my drive but apparently I'm missing some files or don;t have the correct directory structure m$dash is expecting. I think I went wrong when I selected "backup" from the evox menu before ftping the contents of C over to my PC. If I can get a pic of what a vanilla C drive looks like I can pick and choose the files and recreate any directories. Last resort I guess would be to crack the box open again and install the original drive.
