Hi guys, I've done lots of searching and its been very helpful but Im still up in the air. I want to buy a new xbox 360 s to install an xk3y in, and want to make sure I dont need to do RGH. I've heard that if I purchase one of the glossy models that I wont have to worry about the 16D5S drive. Can anyone confirm this? I know I can check the lot and team on the box, but so far every one Ive encountered is the new drive. Thanks for any help for advice.

No worries the 16d5s drive supports xk3y but you have to RGH your console, even it is a glossary one.

if you want one that you can put a XKEY in then get one made before August 2011

Also the glossy ones should be fine I believe they stopped making those around August 2011 when they started using Hitachi drives and D5S liteons. I dont know what the chances of getting a hitachi drive are before August 2011, but they were discovered to be in consoles before then but were very rare
