Counterstrike Problem!, AFTER COPYING IT INTO THE HDD Options

alright, i've reinstalled the game into my hdd a bunch of times and i still get a freeze when loading into a game.

what's wrong??

do i need a new patch?

You are probably using the old EvolutionX version. Disable its IGR, or get EvolutionX 3921.

Moving to XBox Backup anyways..

that does not work ! i have done all that and cleard saves, flashed to all bios and changed to all evo x and still it goes black.

I had this exact problem with ESPN Football 2oo4.

i used dvd2xbox and found out that it was erroring on a one of the files.....the disk is really crappie.

so it didnt coppy one file and of course it did not work.

now im looking for taht one file.......

yep i have tryed everything on that also and nothing . I tryed to patch it also with craxtion and it is saying

CounterStrike does not need to be patched!

Hi friends, I also have the same problem. I try to copy the "fever NFL 2004" twince. It does the copying however at the end of 100% complete. There was a message saying clearing files. The next thing I realize it was that the xbox could not copy the copy onto the HD. Please help me with this thank in advances.... I am using both methods

I had the same problem with Counter Strike, I updated the bios to M7 and it worked, same deal with Vice City on one of my other machines just updated the bios & hey presto.

you can gen. tell its a media flag problem when the game freezes while loading its start menu.

For what it's worth the PAL version is fine ...

Copied to Xbox using DVD2Xbox 0.51 ... using the game on an Xbox v:1.00 with Xtender MOD [blew the TSOP with Evox 2.4 BIOS then took out the MOD chip] ... haven't changed the BIOS for over a year now ... no probs with ANY games so far ...

Done points 3 + 4 that 'chefelf' had posted ... didn't need to do the others ... some of you might have to though ...

Oh & thanks 'chefelf' for letting me post that info on my site ...

I had this problem as well (XC 2.2 Lite), what i did was upgrade the bios, locked the hard drive after upgrading evo-x with no result but when i disabled the modchip ( i had to open up my x-xbos as i don't have an external switch) Loaded up counter strike and when i reneabled the chip it went fine.
