Hey guys i was wondering if it was possible for a very kind and gentle coder to possible port
HALF LIFE 1 and especially Deus Ex 1 to the xbox
i mean people have ported games like duke nukem to the xbox and quake so why not Deux EX or Half LIFE!!

Because, if you'd read the stickies, you'd have noted that a game can only be ported, if the source code for that game is available. And niether DX or HL1's source is available. So, no port.

loool i do not really know what a source code
butt
half life 1 was released for pc ps2 and the dreamcast version got leaked but never released lol
half life 2 was on pc and xbox and ps2 and gamcube were too weak to handle half life 2 lol
and epp 1 was not on the xbox version
and deux ex was on pc and ps2 and the ps2 version was crap jus better intro and ending fmv sequences

now with dat out the way
half life runs on the Gold Source engine
while Deus ex runs on the Unreal engine 1
so could not b possible to make a port lol

i think a port would b really cool
im sure someone could obtain the source code from deus ex from unreal engine 1 scripts i mean there is a guy porting it to unreal engine 2

Ep1 isn't HL1.
After HL2 they started doing episodic content.

No. It's not possible, because the Unreal source code isn't released.
It is not possible to port Deus Ex or Half Life.

Please.
Accept these two facts.

This thread isn't annoying at ALL, let me tell ya. dry.gif

Neither game's source code was ever released, unfortunately.

And let's not forget that Half-Life: Blue Shift was included on the unreleased Dreamcast version and it was incredible. If you own a DC, definitely download it. Propeller Arena is worth checking out too.

too bad the Dreamcast controller is crap, though. And Halflife's control scheme realy suffered from that fact. The PS2 version is allright though, cause the PS2 controller has 2 analog sticks, but still xbox controllers are far better for FPS than the PS2 one.
