Is it possible to resize the original HDD on a softmoded 'Box?

Or what are the 'required' partition sizes?

I ask, as i do not want to get too technical (but am prepared to Hot wire)

** I have done research and could not find a topic like this **

the reason you could not find a topic is cause you are talkin complete and utter rubbish.

what the hell do you mean by hot wire? lol it aint like nickin a car!! (strange)

do you want a bigger HD? you do realise that the HD in your xbox is only 10GB and can't be made any bigger?

the drive is formatted the way it is for a reason. you can't mess with it. the partitions are the way they are for a reason.

your e drive is for game updated and game saves and to save ur ms soundtracks to.

you c drive contains your xboxdash. you need space on both for ur xbox to function properly.

if you want to increase storage space go buy a bigger HD and learn how to make an iso of ur existing HD and how to copy it onto the new HD and then learn how to install it.

the search button is a noobs best friend.

X,Y and Z are also set sizes (like C and E) - they are the cache drives that games expect to be there.
F and G are only on modded consoles - these can be different sizes if you have a larger replacement HD, but F generally just takes up the rest of the drive above the standard partitions, unless it is too big which means you can use G also.

This is about the only way to get a bit of space out of your standard xbox HDD ( 2Gigs Providing it supports it )

Your x:/ y:/ z:/ drives are configured to act as data caches for games to assist in loading times.

Any files you see in these folders are fine to delete ( They will be put back there whenever you load up a game that uses them ).

If you want more space - Buy a larger HDD and install it.

DO NOT try to remove/modify partitions or you will end up with a dead xbox! , Because you have a softmodded box , You must be extremely careful moving/modifying files inside the c:/ and e:/ drives.
