As soon as my warranty is due i am going to look at it.
Can anyone confirm if MS itself is able to flash the bios ?

I got someone telling me that it IS possible to flash a 1.6 Xbox ... I told him that it wasn't possible. I told him the only thing you can do is softmod it. Then he said that was true up 'til now... that they have new software that makes it possible to flash a 1.6

of course after looking for info on it, I can't come up with any... reading this makes it apparent he's full of shit... unless he knows something that no one else does.

???

doubt it ...

I keep asking him to send me info on how it is done, but he hasn't yet... so I'm sure he's full of it.

uh.. yeah I realize what it says. And I said he's probably full of crap, but things change...

I remember when ppl were saying the 1.6 was not modable at all... then the chip came out for it and it is.

So who knows... maybe something new happend since the last post. But I'm sure it didn't.

I've heard it has no Tsop - I've heard it has only a 1 time flashed Tsop, meaning not able to flash it after it's been flashed the first time.... so I dunno. Never really got into looking it all up to get the full facts. I'd rather stick to the 1.0-1.5

okay, ive been through a shyt load of forums, im getting really tired of this shyt, 'flashing the TSOP wil do this and do that' when the actually question is how do you flash a TSOP. WHY DOESNT ANYONE ANSWER THAT QUESTION... IS IS BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW. pls for the love of god, where would i go to download a TSOP flashing tool for my xbox (v1.5) biggrin.gif thankx.

ok, so there's no TSOP on a 1.6, which intrigues me to know as to where in buggery the BIOS is loaded from when you power up the Xbox.

Could the bios be being loaded off the hd? cus it must be getting it somwhere, if so couldnt using the 007 hack( or somthing like it) somone design a program to instead of flashing, rewrite the bios??
