back in november i was one of those people that got banned about 3 times because i had the UDE. ever since then i've been scared to use this exploit cause i dont wanna get banned again, but now i have a new gamertag that i havent been banned with yet (only suspended for swearing)and i was wondering if it was ok to use the UXE because this is the only exploit that actually good and isnt a hassle to use. thx beerchug.gif

@mckenn88: I recall that you were hit by both waves of the XBL bannings. sad.gif

It's since been found that they were *not* related to UDE being installed ... even if you had uninstalled it, those bannings would still have occurred (at that time).

In addition to the new GT, you replaced the EEPROM too (right?); did you also change the HDD?

if you cold boot the update would fail. if the exploit is active and you have a virtual C the update would happen but would have no negative effect

(This is still a tough concept to "just accept" though; I recall this linked post and your subsequent reply to it... tongue.gif).

thank you Eh for your outstanding memory for bringing up a one year old reply. I don't remember in what context I was replying that or what I was thinking. Since I never used live I might have had not understood the concept of needing the xonlinedash ONLY when signing up at that time. Or I just had a temporary brain disorder or something... Either way I'm over it now biggrin.gif

@ eh. (a while ago)
well i know that the ude wasnt the reason for all the xbl bannings back then but wasnt it all because of the xboxdash.xbe, not really being the xboxdash.xbe. cause i know that some people were taking some kind of xbox live file that was sent out and renaming that as xboxdash.xbe and that is why m$ was checking all the headers of the xboxdash.xbe files on the c drive. oh and after i was banned i got a new eeprom and hard drivebut didnt get a new GT rite away and played on live fine, then last month i got a new GT so i should be ok tho rite.
