Yeah mirc is great and really easy to use. Its amazing how many people dont know about it. It's great for getting anything that you want. To get to the channel you want, just type /server (replace with server you want without parentheses)

then type /join #(replace with channel you want without parentheses)

It's that simple to use IRC. Then most times the channel you are in will have all the commands you need to use while in the channel. Hope this helps you.
