Up untill about 2 weeks ago my Xbox ran fine and dandy, but now I can get it to boot up to my EvoX dash about once in every 30 tries. It keeps showing error coeds 13 and 16 a lot, and a couple times it even said 20. I checked the tutorial on Xbox Codes but unfortunately it doesn't say hwo to correct them.

What could have caused these errors? I'm completely clueless as to what all of the sudden caused them and how to fix them. I know my Xbox isn't broken because every now and then I get lucky and it boots up properly, I just don't understand why it faults so damn much lately.

I'm once again in dire need of help because I rarely get to play on my Xbox any more and it sucks. sad.gif

What's mxm? Anyways, I'm using Evox, version 1.8.something. It's worked fine for months but about 2 weeks ago the boot-up changed. Like sometimes the little "Executer" tag under Xbox doesn't show up and so it shows the Error screen for 13 or 16. I'm starting to think it might have happened because of a game I recently saved to my hard drive but I'm not sure which one could have mucked up my Xbox.

For some reason my Xbox now resets itself whenever I press the Open Disc Tray (Eject) button anywhere outside the Evox dash. This is incredibly annoying when I'm trying to rip music to my hard drive because whenever I open the tray to put in another cd my Xbox resets, the clock resets, and sometimes it doesn't even boot up again and goes to a fault screen.

Another strange thing is whenever I set my clock time it resets the next time I power down my Xbox to 4:00 am 1/1/2001. It's both weird and annoying because I have a few games that use the Xbox clock and having it messed up causes some problems. I remember hearing that a messed up clock can cause errors with an Xbox because it checks the clock during the boot-up or something.

Anyways, I still have my old Slayer Installer CD and I suppose I could re-install it but it has an older EvoX dash on it and so that might cause some problems.

Once again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, can I update my BIOS without taking out my modchip because it was a total bitch installing it so I'm a little hesitant on taking it out again.

My Xbox still faults, however sometimes when I jiggle it on the boot-up it works every now and then, but that could be coincidence. Maybe a cord came loose and every now and then it isn't connecting just right and so it causes an error code.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated...
