I am about to install a chameleon chip on my xbox, but before I do I would like to know how I can play on Xbox Live without having to open my xbox and turn off the chip manually. I heard something of an option on the dashboard that will turn it off for you, I believe it was called the TSOP. Any info will be appreciated.
Thank You

If you've installed it correctly, and you've used the jumpers to select mode 4, turing it on via Eject disables the mod chip, turning it on via the power button uses bank 0, and pressing both at once uses bank 1
This assumes you connected the "P" and "E" wires to Power & Eject.

Ok thanks, but in case I do not connect the P and E wires, is there another way that I could disable the chip?

I have heard of this before but was unable to find it in the Evo-x dashboard, can you be specific as to what I do to accomplish this, I do not want to make a mistake when it comes to this kind of a matter. Thanks

As you can see, under my "Chameleon Settings", there are options that say "Disable Cham"-that's used to turn off the chip.

| QUOTE (Kazaki @ Sep 13 2003, 12:01 AM) | Wait- the eject to turn off chip function can only be accomplished in mode 4?!
I thought this was in all the modes... |
Nope, I accidentally left my chip in mode 1 after programming and the Power and Eject buttons dont have any effect on which bank it boots.
You have to be in Mode 4 for the Power and Eject buttons to do anything (at least with the firmware in my Chameleon).
Cheers
Alex
