Yeah, this is a real project
. It might take them a while, but you can't blame them from being a it gun shy. A release would get quickly spread out and get distributed in an uncontrollable manner. If there was a critical flaw, the team would get attacked for it... and that's not fair, is it?
So they want to make sure the key features are in place before putting out a public release. Nothing wrong with that, IMO.
I have a "stable" of willing guinea pigs, erm, I mean "Beta Testers" that have access to my "WIP" binaries. They understand the nature of the software... perhaps the XdashOS team could look into doing something like this - but even then, the nature of "alpha" software is even touchier than the situation with MXM.
So cut them a little slack and BE PATIENT.
