Hello!
Why is the boot of the Evox slow? (i mean 40sec.!)

I installed the Xecuter 2.2 Lite+ with the 4977 and the Exox in my original Xbox HD
(8Gb), and with some Divx (20), MP3, Pictures and Games (6 or 7) it tooks less than 15
sec. to load.

Now i installed a 80Gb Seagate with the same amount of data (same games, mp3īs,
pictures and videos) and it took 20 to 30 sec. to load.

The first thing that i tried was to format the disk again, and copy only the whole C
drive to my new disk (from the backup of the working 8Gb disk with Evox).
This worked fine, the Xbox load the main Evox screen in less than 10 sec.
After loading the E drive (with and without the Udata and Tdata folders) and adding
some games (12) some MP3 (less than 300) and some divx (35 or 39) the boot process
took about 40 to 45 sec to complete. (26Gb total in F drive)
If i transfer more divx, mp3 and games i can make a coffee and get back to start to play!

This is normal?
What can i do to make a faster boot?
I have to do a low level format?
The problem is on the evox.ini file?

I donīt use Xbox Live, so i donīt think that is due to a lock or unlock trouble.
I formatted the drive with a boot CD of Evox, i donīt formatted in low level, or trough
a FTP.

Thanks to all that can help with this!!!! smile.gif

i dont know but i do know a low-level format is not your key. this is rarely a solution on newer hard drives and you can fuck it up real easy.

Tell evox to use items.txt (might speed it up)

Evolution-X is trying to auto-detect all your apps - therefore it takes that long because it's searching thru your HD trying to find apps and games. You can either grab another dash or tell it to use items.txt smile.gif
