i flashed my matrix chip with evox 2.5 no color mod. i installed the evo dashboard. i can transfer files with my pc. i've tried burning games with various methods but none work. when i check my settings in evo my bios doesn't show.

If you can run the Evox dashboard, then your modchip is working fine. The Evox Dashboard will only show the the name of the bios in use if it has the checksum for it in the evox.ini file. If it does (you have to put it there), then it will just say Unknow. Do a search for "bios checksum" and you should find a post that lists most of them, as well as where to put it in evox.ini

As for your inability to run games off of backup up media, do a search or look through the burning forum. THere can be a lot of different reason for the media incompatibility
