Is there a way to skip the matrix style intro screen with iso's generated with Craxtion?
Tested with both MXM and Menu X, this intro causes delays with accessing content. With two different items on the disk, the load takes about 30 seconds before showing the content selection screen (more with MXM). If the initial intro screen cannot be skipped, are there any ways to speed the load time so it will show content selection sooner?

agreed. You can always make the Multigame disc yourself. You will not notice any speed increases though.

Why? Is something useful happening in the background while the
text dribbles like matrix?

Also, what if I just happen to not like the matrix movie? Can the
matrix intro be removed?

Thanks guys, you ROCK!

Thanks for this suggestion, although I am afraid this solution is not satifactory because other users in the forums have reported that the mxm default.xbe is more reliable in terms of being able to launch content. So my emphasis at this point is on leveraging the excellent performance of the mxm xbe while customizing its load attributes -- customization is the key.

btw, thanks to those who recommended changing
m_bDoEffect = false in MXM.cpp line 7972, i currently have
no way to confirm or deny this will work,

CMatrixEffect::CMatrixEffect( void )
{
m_pszStatusArray = NULL;
m_dwStatusIndex = 0;
m_bUseBack = true;
m_dwColor = 0xFF00FF00;
m_bInit = false;
m_bShowMXM = false;
m_bDoEffect = true;
}

That might remove the matrix screen, but I doubt it will remove the processes in the background. When MXM boots, it goes through a series of checks, and the Matrix Splash screen is shown. It goes through Processing the MXM XML, then it searches the immediate subdirectories of the DVD for XBE's. It then grabs the Title, Description, XBEID, and other info about the title that will be shown in the Menu.

Since its in disc mode, this process takes about 10 seconds. It's not too long to wait. There's no real way to get around it. You can disable the Matrix screen all you want, but the delay will still be there.

cool, thx for the reply. I can see what you mean about certain things taking
place in the background.... my hope was it would just read the config file and
skip searching through directories,etc to speed load time. I know this sounds fanatical
but under heavy use, 30 second load times add up to hours.
