After the installation of Apple modchip on my xbox. Upon restarting it just FRAGs and returns an error message "07". blink.gif
Each time when the xbox boots up, I would hear clicking noises (for 5seconds) from the HDD.
I have also checked the connects as per the installation diagrams. D0 is ok.
I have tried to disconnect the modchip, but the same error appears. ohmy.gif

Pls help.

Do you remove the chip alltogether and still have an error #7?
Also, what Apple chip are you using?

Hi bgest,

Thanks for replying. smile.gif
Yes, I still have an error 7 with the mod uninstalled.
I have the "Apple-X v1.0& v1.1" on my v1.1. sad.gif
I have checked through the website for clues and still haven't a clue on what happened on the box.

BTW... error 7 is hdd timeout. Check if HDD is connected properly.

So, you never got the chance to run a boot disk on it or anything like that? It happened as soon as you installed your chip and has done the same thing ever since?

The xbox is in full operational condition before the chip installation.
I haven't got any chance to boot the disc after the mod installation. The xbox just got itself into fragging error7 eversince the chip was installed. dry.gif
I have also checked the ide cable. I got a normal hdd to work on the cable to check if the problem was really the cable. I got error16. I've checked for the correct pin oreintations for the hdd beforehand.
