i have installed the xbit chip in xbox ...have checked it several times ...what i need to know is how to FLASH bios properly
i have read just about every forum topic on it and am still at a deadend ...
i get the red green flash on the eject light ......
when i turn chip off usin 4th dip, switch console on and it boots into dashboard no problem so im sure its not a hardware problem ....
i also did power switch solder for activating and deactivating STM...it appears to work OK
i am conviced it is a bios prob i have ......
i have downloaded the xbitflash tool .........but im not sure if i am usin it properly ......
"Click on the "Write"-button and select a binary file" this is in instuctions .where do i find this binary file ....??
i seem to format OK .it appears to be where i have to select this binery file to write to bios i am havin probs
i believe this is MY prob so any help with this would be great .........

the binary file is the bios it has a .bin file extension you have to download 1 or more bios's and then unzip them.

u da man .......i downloaded X2 4977 all xbox 256k.bin
and now get the xbit chip to load in no probs .....
WHY is this not explained in installation instructions ...this chip is meant to idiot proof
i spent the best part of 6 hours tryin to figure this out .and all i needed was to be pointed towards a simple bin file DMS needs to updated there installation instructions so people can get this installed properly

uhm, no.
the bios file is ILLEGAL.
they'd be fricking stupid if they posted links or downloads to the bios files.
