Don't kill me on this one, but I've read past posts until my eyes have crossed and am still uncertain about something.
I purchased my Xbox a while back and after using it for about four months, I received the "Your Xbox requires service ... Error 16" message after the Xbox splash screen. Being as how I didn't get the extended warranty, MS wanted 100+ dollars to fix the problem (I'm sure you heard this scenario numerous times!). So, I unplugged it and put it on the top self until I came across this website. Here's my question ... will installing an Xecuter 2.2 Lite / Pro allow me to bypass the dashboard error and revive the console? The Xbox is a v1.0 and has all the original hardware. Any suggestions / advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Error 16 - dashboard - Other files to do with dashboard / dashboard settings (specific dashboard error)
Read the tutorials please... Anyways, a modchip probably will work. You will have to replace the MSDash with a good one, or just use Evox. |

My XBOX is in a similar boat, but I get Error 13 instead. Would a modchip work for me?

From what I have read about your problem I think a Modchip would work for you. And same goes for the problem in this, but I couldnt guarantee 100% that it would fix the problem. So up to you if you want to spend the money on a gamble..... |
