Not exactly..

You can not put a locked HD from an un/modded Xbox (all original HDs are locked in factory condition) and put it in another Xbox, even a modded one. The reason is, the HD is locked with a key that is linked to the motherboard it is used with.

You can, though, put any unlocked HD in any modded Xbox.
