Yes you can just make sure that the game is in bin format.

cd-r/cd-rw ect..:-->psx_game.bin & psx_game.cue

<Cough> <Cough> PCSXBOX. A bin/cue file is a PSX image which means it is a copied Platstation game so yes, Xbox can play some playstation games

That's right. Now that you've modded your xbox, if you use an emulator called PCSXBOX, you can play PS1 games with your xbox. However, you can't run it off the old PS cds, or CD-Rs. You have to use a program such as DDump or Alchohol 120% to create an image file of the CD in Bin/cue or ISO/cue format. Once you've created that image file, put it on your XBOX hard drive and use the emulator to play the game; pending it's compatible of course. Check the compatibility list pinned to make sure.
